Streams of Hope is hiring a full time classroom teacher for a multi-age, multi-grade classroom.

As an independent, non-accredited 1st-12th grade microschool, we offer a unique approach to education through flexible enrollment options, mixed age classrooms, personalized curriculum, and a faith centered environment. 


As our newest teacher, you will:

  • Maintain regular communication with families to cultivate a strong parent-school partnership.
  • Establish an environment attuned to the work of the Holy Spirit, fostering safety, community, and acceptance for each student.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to meet the evolving needs of students, ensuring their diverse needs are met.
  • Exhibit a commitment to excellence in the classroom through effective classroom management, thoughtful lesson planning, and student assessment.
  • Work with a diverse range of ages, grades, and abilities.
  • Embrace the concept of lifelong learning, dedicating yourself to personal growth—professionally, personally, and spiritually.
  • Encourage children to embrace challenges and provide a secure environment for learning from both successes and failures.


Our ideal candidate possesses:

  • At least 2 years of teaching experience in homeschool, traditional private/public school, or another learning environment
  • A Bachelor’s degree (preferred but not required)
  • A teaching license (preferred but not required)
  • A strong Christian faith
  • Strong English communication skills
  • The ability to work effectively with a wide range of ages and grades

Teaching at Streams of Hope Christian School involves embracing the process, identifying student needs and abilities, thinking creatively, and nurturing potential.


If this resonates with you, consider joining our exceptional team. Contracts are for one school year, with mandatory co-teaching/training for at least one quarter and up to one full semester before assuming your own classroom. The salary ranges between $25,000-$30,000 annually, with additional retirement benefits, tuition benefits for teachers' children, and stipends for classroom supplies and decor. Our teachers experience zero out-of-pocket expenses to run their classrooms effectively. Salary is determined based on teaching experience, tuition benefits, and classroom capacity.

Open Position: Classroom Assistant

For Immediate Hire

Grade Level: Mixed Grades 



Mondays through Thursdays 8:00am-3:00pm; 

Fridays 8am-2pm



Starting at $12/hour for up to 30 hours/week through June 1, 2024

Paid break and lunch 

5 paid sick days during the academic school year

3 paid bereavement days during the academic school year

Discounted tuition for dependent children to be negotiated. 


Classroom Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Work one on one with students as needed, providing support in understanding and completing assignments.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
  • Be sensitive to the work of the Holy Spirit to minister to students.
  • Help students develop a Biblical worldview.
  • Score daily student work, providing constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Help classroom teacher ensure students are completing assignments thoroughly and on schedule by monitoring daily work.
  • Monitor daily student break time to ensure a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Assist classroom teachers in monitoring lunchtime activities.
  • Supervise students for short periods of time in the absence of the classroom teacher.
  • Assist with student drop-off and dismissal procedures.
  • Assist with special classroom projects as directed by the classroom teacher.
  • Assist in other classrooms as needed, following directives from the Executive Director.
  • Foster a sense of community by actively participating in school-wide events.


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with students in an educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to the unique needs of each student.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to collaborate with teachers and staff.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting student success.
